Preparation for evaluation questions

1. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Film distributor - responsible for the marketing and selling of a film.

20th Century Fox:
seem to distribute many thrillers/suspenseful films. Including Taken, where there is a scene of Liam trying to buy back his daughter.
- High budget distributer
- Target audience: 8-80 years old
- Shares idea with sex trafficking in 'Taken'

New Line Cinema: popular for distributing psychological thrillers, releasing Se7en and The Butterfly Effect.
- Low budget distributer
- Target audience: 18-34 years old
- Shares idea with psychological terror in our sequence.

Warp films: small British institution.
Realistic distributor as targets British audiences and doesn't have high budgets.

Dead Mans Shoes:

Made on shoe string budget, crime, drama, thriller. Distributed in the UK. Common themes with our thriller.

2. Who would be the audience for your media product?

Target audience: 20-30 year olds (mature theme)
Location of audience: Western mostly, America, UK, some parts of Europe and Russia because sex trafficking is a first world problem in the Western world.
Hobbies and interests: appealing to people who love rollercoasters, having adrenaline rushes and film fanatics.
Education needed?: Yes most likely because people have to understand that the girls are trapped in there for a reason, the storyline is not pointed out for the audience.
Income: Would be interesting for people with average/higher incomes because the rest of the sequence will be dealing with money, could be attractive.
