Going into the edit suite after filming

Today we went back into the editing suite after filming our thriller and Matt refreshed us on how to use the editing programme 'Adobe Premier Pro'. He reminded us of how to find our clips, which are in the rushes section.
The aim of this session was to view all our videos and put the ones which we thought were the best in the timeline and left the ones we didn't like in the rushes folder. Previewing our clips was really interesting and we were lucky enough to not have any problems with the receiving sound on the day and the clips were all in focus.
Matt told us that the channels audio was merged, therefore atmospheric sounds and direct sound cannot be split, making it difficult to change certain bits of sounds in post production.
Throughout the beginning of filming, the shots were quite dark and got lighter the further on the sequence went. We may be able to fix this in post production and lighten the contrasts but in general it is easy to deal with.
The plan of action in the future is to cut down most of the clips and take our favourite bits out to put into the final cut.
I am very excited to getting to edit and finish the thriller and see the outcome of it.
